Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act

At Cloverdale Paint, we uphold the highest standards of ethics, human rights, and social responsibility. We firmly oppose and denounce forced and child labour in all its forms and will not tolerate its presence in any aspect of our operations or supply chain. This declaration serves as our formal policy statement on this critical issue. 

  1. Legal Compliance: Cloverdale Paint will fully comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations related to forced and child labour. We will also adhere to the conventions and guidelines set forth by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and other relevant international bodies. 
  2. Non-Engagement: Cloverdale Paint will not, under any circumstances, engage in or support forced or child labour, and we expect the same from our suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners. 
  3. Supplier and Vendor Responsibility: We will work closely with our business partners to ensure they adhere to our commitment against forced and child labour. They will be expected to provide documentation of their compliance with all labour standards, including the absence of forced and child labour in their operations. They will also be required to sign our Supplier Code of Conduct. 
  4. Awareness: We provide educational awareness to our employees and suppliers to raise awareness about the risks and consequences of forced and child labour. We will also equip our employees and partners with the tools to identify and report any violations they encounter. 
  5. Reporting Mechanism: We have established a confidential reporting mechanism that allows employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns related to forced and child labour without fear of retaliation. Reports will be promptly and thoroughly investigated. 
  6. Remediation: When any instances of forced or child labour are identified in our supply chain, we will work with the affected parties to remediate the situation and prevent its recurrence. We will report non-compliance to the appropriate authorities. Our goal is to ensure that those impacted receive appropriate support and that corrective actions are taken promptly. 
  7. Transparency and Communication: Cloverdale Paint has communicated our commitment to eliminating forced and child labour within our operations and supply chain to our employees, suppliers, customers, and the public through our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and our Supplier Code of Conduct. 
  8. Accountability: Our senior management is responsible for overseeing the implementation of this policy and ensuring its effectiveness. The management team will regularly report to our board of directors and stakeholders on the progress made in fighting against forced and child labour. 
  9. Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continually improving our policies, practices, and procedures related to forced and child labour to align with the best industry standards and evolving social expectations. 

Cloverdale Paint considers the prohibition of forced and child labour to be a fundamental aspect of our corporate social responsibility. We are dedicated to working with all stakeholders to eradicate these unethical labour practices from our business and global supply chains.
